The undergraduate program starts with English writing and oral communication. In the junior and senior years, there are literature and practical English courses. The master program offers courses about English writing, research methods, literature, pedagogy, and also ecological literature, which is the department's feature research field especially for those interested in English and American literature. In the PhD program, the English and American Literature Group focuses on researching ecological literature and relevant theories, while the English Pedagogy Group focuses on the theory and practice of English teaching.
