The Russian Department offers a wide range of courses, including specialized courses in linguistics and literature. Along with language courses, the Russian Department also offers a variety of non-language courses in Russian history, culture, and contemporary issues at the post-graduate level.
Presently there are 11 faculty members, mainly native Russian speakers (6 out of 11), representing specialists in Russian phonetics, lexicology, word-formation, morphology, syntax and literature.
Graduates of the Russian Department have gone on to use their academic background in language, culture, and literature in a wide variety of careers, including further study domestically or abroad, translating, interpreting, international trade, and government employment. |
