The College was founded in August, 1992. It then consisted of eight graduate institutes. In August, 2009, some institutes were merged. The College now has five graduate institutes as follows: Graduate Institute of European Studies, Graduate Institute of the Americas Studies, Graduate Institute of International Affairs and Strategic Studies, Graduate Institute of Asian Studies, Graduate Institute of China Studies. Besides offering M.A. Programs, three graduate institutes offer Ph.D. programs. They are: Graduate Institute of the Americas Studies, Institute of European Studies, and Institute of International Affairs and Strategic Studies. The college is devoted to both cultivating high-level professionals and to nurturing scholars to manage international affairs in both public and private sectors.
